ASHLEY JOBE
November 14, 1998 to April 7, 2010
What can you say about Ashley without a smile coming to your face, Paul tells how he called and said he wants a female yellow lab, the man only has one, to which Paul said, “I have the money, I’m coming to get her now.” It was love at first sight for them. Ashely spent many hours sleeping on Pauls chest as a pup in their favorite chair, as he tells it he could lift her with one hand she was so little.
The two of them could be seen walking the streets of Indiana, I.U.P. and Blue Spruce Park. They loved going out and exploring the streets and trails, seeing what they could find on their travels, meeting folks along the way, a hi and a pet on her head and they were off again.
Riding in the care was another favorite thing to do along with food, lol, weekend she would climb into bed with us and then there were the eggs were a must with Ashely, if you didnt get up when she wanted she would walk around the bed till you got up, it was our thing together with Paul would go for the sunday paper. One of her favorite places to sleep was in Paul’s recliner chair, it is big and soft, if you got up she went right for it, it was like a game with us…who go the chair most of the time, Ashely won. Her favorite place to hide, was under the kitchen table.
In her later years, it was just walks in the park acrosee from her home where she ruled as it was her park (to here anyway) the walks got smaler and just being with her was enough for us till her passing.
Ashley you will always be in our hearts and thoughts
